I have a brand-new job! I am Director of Recruitment and Technical Research for a medical professional headhunting group.

It seems like a perfect match, as I have over 20 years experience in medical-surgical purchasing. I purchased everything from bandaids to body-part replacements. I also have 10 years' experience negotiating million-dollar, medical-surgical equipment contracts.

Another "job" I have is at the local crisis-center switchboard. I work a 12-hour shift every Saturday.

I'm a positive thinker.

I do not stress over the glass being half-full OR half-empty....I GLORY THAT I HAVE A GLASS !

My nickname is SAM and that is my name preference.

I have one daughter, Suni, who is married to Ed, a Marine. Ed actually volunteered to go to Iraq. That was the longest year. They have been married 13 years and are extremely happy and very close. Ed is teaching now in the Marines, and they are currently stationed at 29 Palms, CA.

My household now consists of 2 cats: Poi from Hawaii, and Carmelita from the no-kill shelter.
